State of the iPhone in Korea (1 Year After Launch)

5242547097_45354c310f_b.jpg
To summarise, it says that since the end of last year

(when iPhones finally arrived in Korea):

  • The number of users has jumped from 200,000 to more than 1.62 million.
  • The number of people using SNS sites has risen 350%.
  • There are now 1.37 million people conducting internet banking through

their smartphones (presumably not only iPhones). That’s an increase of 370%,

with an attendant 300% rise in the amount of smartphone-based transactions.

  • 77% of iPhone users are in their 20s or 30s, 69% are in the Seoul metropolitan

area, and 61% are men. (Only 36% are women, so what are the remaining 3%?)

  • The number of domestically produced apps in the app store has jumped

from 2,367 to 7,475. Average data use per person has jumped 40 times

    to 507MB,

  • The number of IT-related start-ups for the year has leaped from 2,103 in 2008

to 2,526 in 2009 to 3,067 this year.

Presentations of the year 2010

Creativity | 2010. 12. 31. 15:12 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

Popular presentation-sharing website Slideshare posted its annual

Zeitgeist summary Thursday, bringing some interesting data to the fore.

For instance, presentations written in Japanese have the highest average

number of slides (42), women use fewer slides than men in their presentations

and the longest presentation uploaded in 2010 is 1,937 slides long.

Zeitgeist.jpg

This year’s report also laid out some data about the 1,000 most popular

presentations on its site this year:

  • Popular Presentations Use a Lot of Slides: The total number of slides

in the top 1,000 slide decks has about 63 slides per presentation.

The average number of slides for all presentations is 19.

  • Popular Presentations Use Few Words: Popular presentations use

    about 24 words per slide.

  • There’s Something About Keynote: While only 2% of all presentations

were made in Apple Keynote this year, almost 16% of those in the top 1,000

    were made in Keynote.

If you’re interested in digging deeper into what makes a presentation so good

that people want to share it, check out the most popular presentations of 2010.

Eighty-two slide Social Media for Business came in first, followed by Steal This Presentation, which is appropriately a presentation about how to give presentations.

The entire Zeitgeist slideshow is available below:

How to use ReadyBoost in Windows 7 forcefully

Creativity | 2010. 12. 29. 19:40 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

This is how to use ReadyBoost in Windows 7 forcefully. I hope you like it.

레지스트리 HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\EMDMgmt\{Flash Memory}
    DeviceStatus 2

Learn HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS in Mozilla

Creativity | 2010. 12. 18. 22:33 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건
"www.amplify.com"

Mozilla is getting ready for the January semester of School of Webcraft

a 100% free developer training resource run in partnership with

Peer 2 Peer University

Last semester, the School of Webcraft offered 15 classes; now,

Mozilla is trying to get around 30 classes going for the January semester.

Classes will be between six and 10 weeks long; they’ll revolve around

topics relevant to web designers and developers, including HTML5,

JavaScript and CSS. Previous classes have also included non-developer

topics such as organic SEO. Requisite skill levels will run the gamut from

novice to expert. The volunteer-run courses will begin on January 26,

and proposals for new course ideas are still being accepted.

Students learn through a combination of free and open learning materials,

online study groups and hands-on assignments that test their hacking skills.

If you’re a leader in the developer community, you can also step up and

lead a course yourself. If you want to organize a class, you’ll get support

from P2PU and Mozilla in the form of course design, materials, learning

facilitation and other resources.

Registration opens on January 8; until then, you can sign up for the School

of Webcraft e-mail list.

Mozilla believes that developer training is “both at the high school and

university level… out of date, lousy and losing students.” Another problem

is that younger learners simply don’t have access to good web dev learning

resources. And certification training is expensive and often out of step with

current practices

By creating a completely free, open training ground for developers and

would-be developers of all stripes, Mozilla hopes to remedy some of the

problems surrounding technology education.

We fully support this mission; anything that will allow more people to become

better informed about and more proficient in web development and related

technologies is a win in our book.

Of course, we’d love to see more than just front-end and markup languages

explored; but for that to happen, some knowledgeable devs are going to

have to volunteer to teach their peers the basics (or not-so-basics) of

other programming languages.
