I have recently been stuck at the problem that iPhone won't save pictures and finally got the solution for the problem I have had a couple of days.
So today I want to share the solutions with you. Here are the 'how to fix' the problems.
There are 2 solutions for that, one for jail breakers and the other for non jail breakers.

The first solution is for the jail breakers.

1. Download 'Mobile Terminal' from Cydia
2. Execute the 'Mobile Terminal' and then Type these codes below one by one
3. su root
Password: alpine
cd /var/mobile/Media
chown -R mobile DCIM
4. Finally, you are good to go and take pictures again

This second solution is for the non jail breakers.

1. Create a Backup of your iPhone
2. Restore your iPhone to factory settings (NOTE: do not choose the backup, where it asks for the backup, just unplug the iphone.)
3. Take a picture, while the iphone is clear. The picture should save normally.
4. Plug the iphone back into your PC/Mac and save the picture.
5. Secondary click ( Right click) on your iPhone on iTunes and select to restore from backup. 
6. Choose your backup.
7. Restore
8. Take pictures

One of Google Chrome's extensions, Speakit!, is a great web application that read a web page for you. All you have to do is to install it (Speakit!) from Google's Web Store, to select some paragraphs to be read, and then to click the 'Speakit!' app.

SpeakIt reads selected text using Google TTS (Text-to-Speech) with language auto-detection. It supports all languages supported by Google. Extension is still in beta test so bugs are expected.

Usage:
- First select the text you want it to read.
- Then click the icon to start listening.
- When it is ready to read, the number of sentences is shown on the icon.
- To stop listening at any time click pause

- After installation may SpeakIt may need to restart Chrome so to function correctly
- This extension uses Google text-to-speech service. Please visit http://goo.gl/OOVgp to see if it is accessible to you.

Known Issues:
- don't work on encrypted web pages ( https:// )

This posting is to introduce the recent research on Augmented Reality in business marketing, Sales, done by Hidden (Business Communication Consultancy). And this research shows The Power Of Augmented Reality as a Sales Tool.

Its findings are like below:

Likelihood to buy
After viewing the 2D printed display advert, out of 100 parents, 45% would consider buying the toy for a child.
Out of those who viewed the augmented reality experience, 74% of the parents would consider buying the toy for a child.
What we found even more intriguing was the price point at which the parents were prepared to make the purchase.

Attitude to price
Out of those parents that viewed the printed advert, the average price of £5.99 was attributed as the estimated retail value of the product. Of those parents that engaged with the augmented reality experience, they estimated a higher average price of £7.99.

Advertising engagement
For advertisers there were other relevant findings with regard to the depth of engagement with the audience. We calculated that the parents spent an average of 12 seconds actively engaged with the print advert. Those parents using the augmented reality experience did so for an average of 1 minute 23 seconds………….

24 Usability Testing Tools | Useful Usability

예전 어렸을 떄는 자동차를 타고 가면서 창문 밖으로 보이는 것들에 대해서 아무 생각없이 그냥 지나가는 것으로만 생각했었습니다. 또한 조금 지루하고 심심할 때면 창문에 입김을 불어 넣어 하얗게 안개낀 것 같은 창문에 글자를 쓰거나 그림을 그리곤 했었습니다. 그러나 머지 않은 미래에는 이러한 과거의 추억들이 IT 및 증강현실 (Augmented Reality) 기술과 결합하여 자동차를 타고 이동 하는 그 시간들이 이제는 더이상 지루하고 별 의미 없는 일이 아니라는 것입니다.

일본 최대의 자동차 회사인 토요타 (Toyota)와 코펜하겐의 인터랙티브 디자인 회사 (CIID)가 요즘 여러 분야에서 각광을 받고 있는 증강현실이라는 스마트 기술을 자동차 창문에 적용한 컨셉트 디자인이 개발하였습니다. 아직은 기본적인 컨셉트만 설명하는 단계이지만 향후 10년 안에는 충분히 대중 보급이 가능한 기술이고 컨셉트인 것 같습니다.

'A Window To The World'

아래의 Augmented Reality Car Window 컨셉트 비디오에서는 크게 4가지의 적용 가능 범위가 소개됩니다.

1. 창문에 그림 그리기 (Drawing on a car window)

2. 사물까지 떨어진 거리 보기 (Measuring a distance to an object)

3. 확대해서 자세히 보기 (Magnifying a view of an object)

4. 사물의 명칭 알아 보기 (Knowing what it is)

아래의 비디오는 이러한 컨셉트를 설명하는 수준에만 머무르지만 조만간 상용화가 되어서 실제 지금 우리가 운전하고 있는 자동차에도 적용이 될 수 있는 날이 머지 않은 것 같습니다.

Toyota is toying with augmented reality to improve the view outside of its vehicles' windows.

A design exercise developed in conjunction with the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID), Toyota's "Window to the World" concept uses augmented reality to turn a car window into a glass canvas that lets the viewer interact with the elements outside the window.

CIID and Toyota Kansei Design Division engineers and designers came up with five potential uses for the new windows. Similar to the way kids draw shapes onto fogged-up glass, passengers can trace images on the window, but they appear to become integrated with the landscape and stay in place as the car drives away.

The window can lets onlookers zoom in on objects they see outside, and it can translate and identify objects in another language. Augmented reality can help viewers gauge the distance of landmarks, and it can also help them identify constellations in the sky.

Of course, these features are just a concept, but in the future windows could be the next computer screen.

Two working prototypes of the augmented reality concept were on display last month at the Autoworld Museum in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the "Our Future Mobility Now" exhibition organized by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association.

기존 증강현실은 무거운 HMD (Head-Mounted Display) 와 교육 및 비즈니스 트레이닝 분야에서 활용이 되었다는 Air Scouter는 멋진 디자인의 가벼운 안경을 착용하며, 응용 분야도 비즈니스와 교육이 아닌 실제 작업, 일 등을 지원하는 방향으로 초점이 맞춰진 것이라고 볼 수 있습니다.

기존에 필자가 생각하고 있는 '증강현실의 산업안전보건 분야 활용'에 대한 아이디어도 구현이 가능하다는 의미로도 해석할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

Air Scouter는 크게 세가지 작업 분야에 활용이 가능하다고 합니다. 먼저 첫번째는 제조업 등에서 기기 조립작업을 지원하는 데 사용될 수 있습니다. 기존에 공구 등을 찾아서 왔다 갔다 하면서 했던 조립작업을 한 곳에서 또 다른 시간낭비 없이 매뉴얼을 동시에 보면서 조립작업을 수행할 수 가 있습니다.

두번째 분야는 원격으로 작업지원이 가능하다는 것입니다. 물론 무선 네트워크 또는 블루투스 등의 네트워크 인프라가 구축이 되어야겠지요. 이렇게 됨으로써 본부 사무실에 위치한 숙련된 근로자가 현장에 나가 있는 초보 근로자에게 원격으로 실제 작업 이미지를 공유하면서 지원할 수가 있게 됩니다.

마지막 응용 분야는 인터넷 쇼핑이 갈수록 확대, 활성화 되면서 창고에서 주문한 물건들을 찾아서 배송해 줘야 하는 상황이 발생하게 되면 실제 창고에서는 기존에 주문서를 보면서 물건들을 일일이 찾는 것이 아니라 앞으로는 Air Scouter 같은 Augmented Reality를 활용하여 쉽고 빠르고 효율적으로 작업을 할 수가 있게 됩니다.

앞으로 스마트 테크놀로지가 발전하면 발전 할 수록 증강 현실 (Augmented Reality) 응용 분야는 점점 늘어날 것이라고 생각합니다. 현재는 필자의 머리 속에서만 머무르고 있는 안전보건 분야에 활용 가능한 아이디어도 조만간 구체화되어 실현이 됐으면 하는 생각을 해 보며 글을 마칩니다.

Mac OS X Lion에서는 iTunes 라이브러리에 등록되어 있는 앨범들의 디자인으로 인터랙트브한 화면보호기 (Screen Saver)를 설정할 수가 있습니다. 여기서 인터랙티브하다는 것은 화면보호기 상태에서 듣고 싶은 앨범 재킷 디자인을 클릭하면 음악을 들을 수 있다는 것입니다. 기존에는 주로 움직이는 화면보호기였었고 음악을 들을 수 있는 것은 저는 개인적으로 못 써 봤던 것 같습니다. (써 보신 분도 계시겠지만요.) 그래서 오늘은 간단하지만 모르셔서 못할 수 있는 iTunes 앨범 재킷으로 화면보호기를 설정하는 방법을 소개하고자 합니다.

1. iTunes에 음악이 등록되어 있다고 가정을 하고 바탕화면에서 오른쪽 클릭 (두 손가락 클릭, 컨트롤 클릭) 데스트탑 배경화면 변경을 선택

2. 화면보호기 (Screen Saver) 탭을 선택한 후 중간에 있는 iTunes Artwork을 선택 (옵션을 선택해서 앨범 재킷 디자인 숫자나 디스플레이 시간 등의 설정을 변경할 수 있음)

3. 이렇게 두 가지 설정이 완료되셨으면 테스트를 누르시거나 실제로 화면보호기 설정 시간이 지난 후에 확인할 수가 있음

이상으로 짧지만 알고 있으면 유용한 iTunes 앨범 디자인으로 화면보호기 (Screen Saver) 설정하는 방법이었습니다.

Mac OS X Lion이 정식 출시된 지도 거의 한달이 다 돼 가고 있습니다. 설범에서 사자로 넘어오면서 많은 부분들이 개선되고 업그레이드 되었는데요. 250여 가지가 넘는 개선 사항들을 하나씩 하나씩 발견할 때 마다 입이 쩍 벌어질 정도로 놀랍고 신기하고 정말 대단한 OS X Lion이라는 생각이 듭니다. 많은 분들이 저와 같은 생각을 하실거라 생각합니다.

그래서 오늘은 최근 발견한 또 한가지의 놀라운 Lion 기능 하나를 소개하고자 합니다. 그것은 바로 'Preview (미리보기) 에서 PDF 파일에 자신의 서명 (사인)을 삽입하는 방법' 입니다. 제가 생각하기에는 정말 꼭 필요한 기능 중에 하나였는데 그것을 발견하게 된 것입니다. 방법은 생각보다 아주 간단합니다. 여러 개의 서명을 등록해 놓고 사용할 수도 있구요. 아주 편리하고 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 기능이라는 생각이 듭니다.

Step 1. 서명을 삽입할 PDF 파일을 미리보기로 열고 환경설정으로 들어갑니다.

Step 2. 미리보기-환경설정에서 서명 탭을 클릭하고 서명 생성을 클릭합니다.

Step 3. 서명 캡처 화면이 나오면 작은 흰 종이에 검은색 펜으로 서명을 한 후 iSight 카메라 앞에 서명한 종이를 들고 서명이 파락색 경계선 안에 들어가도록 위치를 조절합니다.

Step 4. Step 3을 완료하신 후 확인을 누르면 저장된 자신의 서명을 확인할 수 있으며, 여러 개의 서명을 추가로 등록하여 사용할 수가 있습니다.

Step 5. 서명 저장이 완료됐으면 원래 PDF 파일로 돌아오셔서 주석 (Annotation) 탭을 누르면 서명을 삽입할 수 있는 탭이 보입니다.

Step 6. 원하는 위치에 서명을 삽입할 수가 있으며, 당연히 크기 조절도 가능합니다.

하시는 일이나 상황에 따라 많이 다르겠지만, Lion 미리보기 (Preview)에서 서명을 삽입하는 것이 자주 사용하는 기능은 아닐 수도 있습니다. 그러나 알아 놓으시면 정말 필요할 때 멋지게 사용할 수 있는 기능이 아닌가 생각이 듭니다. Enjoy your Mac life !
