Life & more | 2010. 12. 21. 22:20 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

There are top 5 best christmas decoration houses in Fort Collins, CO.

Last night, I drove around those houses, looking and taking pictures.

These photos are from those decorated houses I stopped by.

Some of them are just mediocre, but two of houses are so good.

I could not help taking a video clip for those houses.

So, enjoy photos I took yesterday.

4 practical way to celebrate Christmas

Life & more | 2010. 12. 20. 15:52 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

I went to the first baptist church yesterday (12/19/2010) and heard about

4 practical way to celebrate Christmas most from the lead pastor there.

스크린샷_2010-12-19_오후_11.40.38(1).png

All you have to do is just "HOPE", but HOPE the way like below.

  1. Have a time to focus on Jesus by reading testament and gospel.
  2. Open your eyes to those who are in need and hurting around you.
  3. Put together a broken relationship. Every relationship is amendable.
  4. Enjoy God blessings with your loved one

I hope that readers to this post will follow this simple but powerful way to

celebrate this Christmas.

Traditions of Christmas gifts

Life & more | 2010. 12. 13. 16:37 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

Today, I heard of the origin of Christmas gifts in the service of First Baptist Church

in Fort Collins. This was the first time for me to hear about it and was impressed.

So, I write about the story of traditions of Christmas gifts from now on.

Where did Christmas gift giving come from? If we go back to the first Christmas story when

God sent Jesus to earth, we recall that Jesus was given three gifts by the three wise men or Magi, which serve as the inspiration for all our Christmas gift giving today.

스크린샷_2010-12-13_오전_12.30.57.png

The Magi presented Jesus with gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts were very prophetic for they spoke of our Lord's offices of King, Priest, and Savior.

GOLD: This carries obvious significance. It's precious and worthy across all cultures and times. It's a gift fit for royalty. It says to the Christ child, You will be a King.

스크린샷_2010-12-13_오전_12.31.22.png

FRANKINCENSE: The name for this resin likely comes from incense of Franks since it was

reintroduced to Europe by Frankish Crusaders. Although it is better known as frankincense" to westerners the resin is also known as olibanum, which is derived from the Arabic al-lub ("the milk") a reference to the milky sap tapped from the Boswellia tree. Frankincense has been touted for its medicinal and soothing properties. Herbalists say it is calming, restorative, gently clarifying, and meditative. Frankincense oil is thought to have stimulating, toning, and warming properties.

The ancient world used it for treating depression. We recognize the word incense in its name. Ancient people burned frankincense, believing it to carry their prayers to heaven. Its use as incense illustrates His role as our Priest.

스크린샷_2010-12-13_오전_12.31.38.png

MYRRH: This is perhaps the most mysterious of the Gifts. It is a resin produced by a small, tough, scraggly tree that grows in semi-desert regions of North Africa and the Red Sea. Myrrh is an Arabic word for bitter, and it is considered a wound healer because of its strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Calling it mo yao, the Chinese used it for centuries to treat wounds, bruises and bleeding and to relieve painful swelling.

스크린샷_2010-12-13_오전_12.31.53.png 스크린샷_2010-12-13_오전_12.32.01.png

The Egyptians made it famous in Biblical times, having acquired myrrh about the fifteenth century B.C. from Africa where cammiphora trees were abundant. It was used in incense, perfumes and holy ointments and also medicinally as recorded in the Ebers Papyrus. But its most notable use to them was that of an embalming material, used in Egyptian mummies. As an embalming ointment it signified that he was born to Die for the world. In fact, Myrrh was one of the burial spices of Jesus (John 19:39).

Loveland Ski Area in Colorado

Life & more | 2010. 12. 9. 03:29 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

It’s What The Locals Know And Love

The center, or core, is where it all begins and where it all comes back to

in the end. Over seventy years ago the founders of Loveland Ski Area

discovered the core of great skiing in this mountain – an abundance of snow

from October through May, varied terrain and a close, easy trip from the city

of Denver. Loveland has stayed true to what the founders discovered and

what current locals refuse to let go of – great skiing and riding. To us, the core

of great skiing and riding is uncrowded slopes, short lift lines, free close-in parking

and fresh tracks all day long and days after a storm hits. This is the essence of

great Colorado skiing and riding. This is Core Colorado.

Check out Loveland Ski Area’s NEW website and while you’re there check out

the live cams, including one perched high atop the Continental Divide. Be sure to

sign up for e-snow news so that you can receive opening day alerts, event and

“insider” news and snow alerts each time we get some of that 400 inches of powder

we are so famous for.

Best Known For

Loveland Ski Area is where Denver locals ski & ride. Sitting high atop The

Continental Divide, Loveland averages 400" of snow each season, more than

any Front Range or Summit County resort. Loveland is also just 53 miles from

Denver so it is a short drive from anywhere in the Front Range. While Loveland

has varied terrain for every ability, Loveland Valley provides beginners and first

timers with a separate base area and gentle slopes perfect for learning how to ski or ride.

This Just In

Loveland Ski Area was voted "Best Value" by the readers of Ski Magazine in their

2009 Reader's Poll. Loveland was also the first ski area in North America to open

for the 2009-2010 season. Loveland started the lifts on October 7, 2009 which was

the earliest opening in over 40 years.

Waiting for Christmas

Life & more | 2010. 12. 9. 01:52 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

This is how my neighbors are waiting for their Christmas this year

Yesterday, on my way back home from UNC, I took these photos by

walking around Sage Creek Road in Fort Collins.

스크린샷_2010-12-08_오전_9.45.37.png 스크린샷_2010-12-08_오전_9.46.03.png

I was stunned by how lovely they decorate their houses and gardens

with beautiful lights and other ornaments. Upon seeing them, I couldn't

help taking their pictures. I hope you enjoy it too.

Life & more | 2010. 11. 27. 22:31 | Posted by 스마트 안전보건

Idaho Springs has a population of 1,893 (and growing!) and is the largest town in

Clear Creek County. Idaho Springs and the Clear Creek County area offer many possibilities

for exploring the history of the area, recreational opportunities and other activities.

The Idaho Springs City Hall (shown at right) is the old Grass Valley School House.

In 1984 the school was due to be destroyed. The City of Idaho Springs bought the building

and had the school house moved to its current location. The building now holds City Hall,

the Idaho Springs Police Department and the Idaho Springs Municipal Court.

There are many hot springs in Idaho springs. Among them, I went to indian hot springs,

which was built in 1905. It is over 100 years old.

The building is quite old and looks like old but have something original about hot springs.

There are main resort rooms, inn room, lodge rooms, and cabin. It also has mineral water

swimming pool, cave bath, and private bath (like a small public bath in Korea).

For dinner, I went to an original colorado pizza restaurant in idaho springs.

Its name is Beau Jo's Pizza. The store has huge spaces and many people inside.

Pizza at Beau Jo's was so great with a big size.
